Real Madrid v Juventus - Preview and possible lineups

Real Madrid v Juventus - Preview and possible lineups

We take a look ahead to Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg between Real Madrid and Juventus at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, with the Spanish side holding a commanding 3-0 lead from the first leg.
Real Madrid: The hosts will be without captain Sergio Ramos, who is suspended after picking up a booking in the first leg. 21-year-old Jesus Vallejo could start alongside Raphael Varane in Ramos' absence, with Nacho still struggling to overcome the ankle problem he suffered against Las Palmas.
Juventus: Midfielder Rodrigo Bentacur and star man Paulo Dybala will both miss out through suspension after the former was booked and the latter sent off in the first leg. Veteran defender Andrea Barzagli has been left out of Juve's squad for the game and is likely ot be replaced in the starting lineup by Medhi Benatia.
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane:
"The 3-0 won't change anything. What happened, happened. We played well there but 50 per cent of the tie is tomorrow.
"We prefer to leave the talking to the pitch. If you ask me [about Real being favourites to win the Champions League], I reply and my answer is I do not want to sit here and answer that question.
"We have to respect all the teams. We have to respect the sport too.
"The other day, against Atletico Madrid [Sunday's 1-1 draw, where Madrid led through Ronaldo] we could have lost. That's football. One attack and everything goes to waste.
"You have to respect the big teams and they never give up or roll over."
Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri:
"We must put in a great performance in Madrid with the world watching and then see what happens.
"Our European ambitions must be strong, as they always are. When I first arrived, there was this terror we wouldn't be able to get out of the group stage. We've since reached two finals in three years.
"If people think Juventus have to win the title and Champions League every year, then that's unrealistic. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester City can't manage it, so why should we be expected to?
"That doesn't mean there's a lack of ambition. The Champions League can be transformed by one incident in five minutes, or even by the luck of the draw, but with a league title you have 38 rounds to earn your silverware."
Did you know?
Only one team has come back from a 3-0 first leg loss in the Champions League to progress since the year 2000.
Real Madrid have won 10 of the 20 games between the two sides in European competition (W10, D2, L8).
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored in all six of his Champions League games against Juventus, scoring nine goals in the process.
Form:
Possible lineups:
Real Madrid: Navas; Carvajal, Varane, Vallejo, Marcelo; Casemiro, Kroos, Modric, Isco; Ronaldo, Benzema.
Juventus: Buffon; De Sciglio, Benatia, Chiellini, Alex Sandro; Cuadrado, Matuidi, Pjanic, Khedira, Douglas Costa; Higuain
