Arsenal will start a fresh era next season without Arsene Wenger... but what players are in the firing line when the new boss takes over at Emirates?

Arsenal's exit from the Europa League on Thursday night marked another disappointing campaign for Arsene Wenger's outfit.
With Arsenal falling further and further behind their Premier League and European rivals, the new manager has a very tricky task to get the club competing at the top level again.
Many players will be in the firing line when the new manager asserts his authority but what five members of the current crop are not guaranteed to be at the club next season?
Here, Sportsmail takes a look at whose future in North London is most under threat...
Certain Arsenal players will be under pressure to maintain their status at the club next season

DAVID OSPINA
The Colombian goalkeeper signed for Arsenal for just £3million back in the summer of 2014 but he has failed to provide any real competition to Petr Cech.
As a defender, you want your goalkeeper to have a commanding presence at the back but Ospina fails to provide this and this was evident against Atletico Madrid on Thursday night.
Ospina's strength is his shot-stopping but he looks anxious and hesitant from set-pieces when he needs to stay calm the most.
He is an unreliable presence in between the posts and despite Cech turning 36 at the end of May, it should be Ospina who leaves this summer.
However, it must be noted, Arsenal need to make a real statement and buy a goalkeeper for the future with mistakes also regularly creeping into Cech's game now.

SHKODRAN MUSTAFI
There was a lot of promise when he signed from Valencia for £35m in August 2016, starting off very solidly alongside Laurent Koscielny.
However, after missing a month with a hamstring injury back in December 2016, he has really not been the same since, despite the odd brilliant performance at the back, most notably in the 2-0 victory over north London rivals Tottenham this season.
The Germany international is rash, regularly diving in early on players and failing to mark his man tightly, with mistakes proving more and more regular now.
The Arsenal faithful, who miss the times of having stalwarts like Tony Adams and Sol Campbell at the heart of defence, see Mustafi as an accident waiting to happen.

LAURENT KOSCIELNY
The Frenchman has been a brilliant servant for Arsenal since joining from Lorient back in 2010.
However, the once reliable centre back has seen his form suddenly drop this season as a result of suffering from an ongoing Achilles problem.
And his injury woes continued on Thursday at the Wanda Metropolitano after he was forced off very early on after sustaining a ruptured Achilles.
With his performance levels dropping, with his huge mistake in the lead up to Antoine Griezmann's goal at the Emirates proving costly for Arsenal in the Europa League, and his injury troubles, it is perhaps time the new manager freshens things up in defence.
Despite the solid debut by Konstantinos Mavropanos and the promising youngsters of Rob Holding and Calum Chambers, the new boss will need to bring in a reliable centre back who will shore things up. Borussia Dortmund's Sokrati Papastathopoulos has been lined up.

GRANIT XHAKA
The midfielder has never really hit it off at Arsenal since signing from Borussia Monchengladbach for £35m.
Xhaka, who fans mistakenly thought was being brought in to tighten things up in front of the defence, has failed to fill the Arsenal faithful with confidence.
In fact, many fans still don't really know what Xhaka's best position in the Arsenal lin-up would be. The Switzerland international hasn't tightened things up in midfield, regularly failing to track back his opponents and diving into rash challenges.
He has been Wenger's most-present player this season and he definitely has an eye for a pass but due to his unreliable displays in the heart of midfield, he could be under pressure this summer.

DANNY WELBECK
From the days of attacking greats such as Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires, Freddie Ljungberg to the likes of Welbeck...
Arsenal have acquired some top strikers in recent times, like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette but Welbeck falls well off the mark.
Despite being a player that fans have appreciated down the years due to his try-hard attitude, he has always come under scrutiny for his footballing ability.
If Arsenal want to ever get back to winning things with pretty, fast-flowing football, than Welbeck doesn't fit the bill.
The England international, who is also injury-prone, would be sought after by clubs below the top six in the Premier League. However, he is not up to Arsenal standard.
